Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles will play in this week’s Super Bowl. They also own two first-round picks, including the 10th overall selection via a trade.

But despite all the talent they have across their roster, adding a running back may be a need for the Eagles in 2023.

Miles Sanders and Boston Scott are free agents this offseason. Sanders is coming off a 1,269-yard, 11-touchdown season. Of course, they may keep him. But if not, running back would become one of the Eagles’ biggest needs.

Without Sanders, the Eagles’ next leading rusher in 2022 (not including quarterback Jalen Hurts) is Kenneth Gainwell with 240 yards and four touchdowns.

For a team with championship ambitions, and potentially Super Bowl champions after this weekend, adding a player like Jones will only help.

The Eagles’ window is open. With their incredibly talented roster, making the most of their current opportunity is important.

If Aaron Jones becomes available and they don’t re-sign Miles Sanders, it’s a move that would make so much sense for the Eagles.

At this stage, we don’t know Aaron Jones’ future with the Packers. He remains under contract in 2023. There’s no question about how talented he is, but his cap hit could be an issue.

Should the Packers move on from Jones this offseason?
