It's everything Green Bay Packers fans feared.

When the Packers traded two first-round picks for Micah Parsons, it was a sign they were going all-in. For this team to make a Super Bowl run, they needed their all-world pass-rusher to be on the field in the biggest games. Now, they will have to go on without him.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed the worst, reporting that the "initial belief" is that Parsons suffered a torn ACL in the Packers' loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 15. It's a truly heartbreaking update.

Packers receive the Micah Parsons injury update everyone feared

It's a step too far for this team to overcome. The Packers will now have to find a way to win without their All-Pro pass-rusher. Parsons is the Packers' pass rush, and without him, they lack the tools to compete with the NFC's top offenses.

To make Green Bay's nightmare worse, they also lost Zach Tom, Christian Watson, and Evan Williams to injuries against the Broncos. Having already lost Tucker Kraft and Devonte Wyatt to season-ending injuries, the Packers' game in Denver quickly went from promising to disastrous to their worst nightmare.

The Packers fall out of first place in the NFC North, but they will still likely secure a playoff spot. That's not the concern at this stage. Without Parsons, they likely have no hope of making a serious run.

It's everything we feared. Parsons is a superstar, the all-world pass-rusher this team desperately needed. Now, they must find a way to win without him. Green Bay fought until the end in Denver and had a chance to tie it up on the final drive, but it became apparent how badly they missed the injured stars on both sides of the ball.

In just one moment, the Packers' season likely suffered a loss they can't overcome.
