Everything is going the Green Bay Packers' way on Thanksgiving, and the Jordan Love-to-Jayden Reed connection is one of the main reasons why.
The Miami Dolphins' offense can't get anything going, and they can't get out of their own way in frozen conditions at Lambeau Field. The Packers' experience in the elements is on full display. Jordan Love looks comfortable in the cold, and he is regularly connecting with his leading receiver.
Reed has already found the end zone twice to put the Packers in a dominant position, but it was another catch that stole the headlines.
Facing a 3rd-and-12, the Dolphins sent heavy pressure, which forced Love to roll out of the pocket and hurried his throw. He put it in a spot for Reed to make a catch, but it would take a spectacular effort from his receiver.
No problem.
New angle of Jayden Reed's one-handed catch makes it look even better
The catch looked incredible in real time on the TV broadcast, but the alternate angle makes it even better. Odell Beckham, who has built a career highlight reel of one-handed catches, had a front-row seat on the Dolphins' sideline for Reed's effort.
Green Bay's offense found a rhythm early and has looked in control all game, which is even more impressive with Romeo Doubs out due to a concussion. The only negative play came on a Dontayvion Wicks drop that almost became an interception, but pretty much everything else has looked effortless.
Love has continued to make good decisions, a positive trend since the Packers' bye week, and is willing to take checkdowns or easy completions when the deeper shots aren't there. But he has also connected on some big-time throws, including a 46-yard completion to Christian Watson, shortly followed by the one-hander to Reed.
It didn't result in a touchdown, but Reed's incredible catch set up a chip-shot field goal to give the Packers a 27-3 advantage.
