Bleacher Report proposes absolutely bonkers Packers-Myles Garrett trade

This is almost perfect.

Monday morning, the NFL world saw a pretty shocking trade request come out of Cleveland. Myles Garrett officially and publicly requested a trade from the Browns, and now, 31 other fan bases are trying to figure out just how to get him on their team.

As for the Green Bay Packers and their offseason needs, pass-rusher is certainly up there. But, adding a 4-time All-Pro would be quite different than simply going out and getting stronger depth. Is a deal like this even possible?

Just so that Packers fans know they're not crazy, Green Bay is, in fact, one team that's been tossed out in some recent trade fodder.

Bleacher Report's Alex Kay included Green Bay in a recent piece which speculated over potential deals the Browns could field for Garrett. Now, as of right now, the Browns remain steadfast in their approach and say they are not trading Garrett.

But, if this gets strung out a bit and becomes uglier than it needs to be, you better believe Browns general manager Andrew Berry is going to fold. He has to.

So, as for what Kay proposed for the Packers, here is a look.

It's actually not half bad. But, there is one tweak Packers fans would love to see made.

A first-, second-, and third-rounder for Garrett seems like a complete no-brainer. However, giving up three picks in the same draft? That's going to be tough to watch happen.

Instead, with one minor tweak, we can make this thing work. How about something like this?

Now, the Packers get to keep their second-rounder this year while giving up a first and third. Sure, that's two of their top three picks this year. However, you can always recoup draft capital later on.

More Packers

With Garrett in Green Bay, this would obviously be more of a luxury type of situation than anything. The Packers need far more help at cornerback (and could need even more help if they release/trade Jaire Alexander).

But, the pass rush will certainly not be one to mess around with.

The question after a deal like this, though, is whether or not the Packers can do something to get Jordan Love and the offense over the hump. There are worries on both sides of the football, and all things considered, this defense played pretty well last year.

Garrett definitely closes a gap, but he isn't going to fix all the Packers' problems.
