Cris Collinsworth and Mike Tirico had the same reaction as Packers fans on final play

Same, guys. Same.

Green Bay Packers fans are still trying to wrap their heads around what the heck we all watched go down on Sunday Night Football. Did the Packers really tie with the Dallas Cowboys after scoring 40 points? Did the Packers nearly lose the game because of a mind-boggling final play? Yes, both of those things happened!

Not only were Packers fans puzzled at how the game ended, but Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth, the play-by-play and color commentator for the riveting tie game, were as confused as we all were as that last play was unfolding.

Tirico narrated that the clock was ticking and the Packers needed to leave time for a field goal attempt. When the ball was finally snapped with six seconds on the clock, Collinsworth chimed in with, "This is the game right here."

As Jordan Love fired the pass into the end zone, it bounced off a Cowboys defender, and Tirico couldn't believe that somehow one second remained on the clock. Collinsworth said it best when he said, "That was so poorly managed," before dropping the bombshell quote of "They almost lost the game before they had a chance to tie it."

Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth summed up Packers fans' feelings perfectly

Tirico also pointed out that the Packers were lucky that the football bounced the way it did because, had it sailed in the air even just a smidge longer, Green Bay wouldn't have had time for a field goal and therefore would have lost the game. Say what you want about the commentators for Sunday Night Football, but their reactions here matched exactly how Packers fans were feeling in that moment.

LaFleur's explanation of what happened on that play only made the situation more frustrating, as he didn't even give an explanation. He said, "If I knew it was going to end like that, we would've gone faster." Okay...?

Given how much the commentators raked the Packers over the coals for this abysmal play and the end result of the game (not to mention how it could've ended), it's safe to say we haven't heard the last of this play call anytime soon, nor should we. LaFleur nearly handed the Packers their second straight loss when things could have gone in a much better direction.
