Training camp has started, finally bringing the beginning of real football action as we approach the preseason. With it comes new deals and conversations about who will rise within Green Bay's depth chart. However, that's not all that comes at the end of July. The Packers have finally revealed their new throwback uniforms for the 2025 season.
With just about 50% the NFL getting some kind of uniform update this offseason, including a new set that Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers will wear when they face the Packers in Week 8, it's an exciting time in NFL circles. The Commanders and Buccaneers are embracing their past with slick alternate uniforms, while the Chargers have unveiled something new with an all-yellow set.
The Packers were rumored to have a new throwback in the works a few weeks back, and the reveal has finally arrived.

While the team officially calls the new set the '23 Classic, the uniform appears to be more similar to what the Packers wore during the 1954-57 seasons, which was just two years before Green Bay found the traditional green and gold color scheme that fans have grown accustomed to. The official team website features a great graphic that allows you to track the primary uniform changes and how the Packers have visually evolved over the years.
With navy blue tops sporting three thin gold stripes on the sleeves and brown pants, the new look may be pretty shocking for some fans. However, what might be the most noticeable piece in this announcement is the new helmet.
While the white helmet that the Packers unveiled last season as a part of their "Winter Warning" set certainly made waves, the new shell is something else entirely. With a far more detailed look than the plain brown ones worn back in 2011, the new helmet pays homage to the leather caps used in the NFL's infancy, incorporating detailed stitching and the appearance of layered leather.
The uniform is certainly a departure from the throwback worn during the last four seasons; an all-green top and bottom accompanied by a logo-less gold helmet that referenced the team's attire from 1950 to 1953.
This announcement marks the first time the Packers have worn a blue jersey since the gold-shouldered tops of the 2015-19 seasons.
