It sure sounds like Davante Adams wants to return to Packers in 2025

I won't say it's happening, but it's definitely happening.

The offseason's officially underway in Green Bay, which means it's officially no longer too early to dream big. Between now and when camp begins next summer, it's our job to think up some absolutely wild offseason predictions. Heavy lies the crown, etc.

And in the spirit of that plan, I'll start: Davante Adams is coming back to the Packers. I'm so sure of it. It makes too much sense for it not to happen; the vibes may already be in place.

Case in point: Adams' weekly appearance on Kay Adams' show this week was, in a word, telling.

Being the pro that she is, Adams asked him what he thought the number one issue the Packers needed to address this offseason was, and his answer is going to feed families in Wisconsin for the next six months alone.

Davante Adams sounds like a guy that wants to return to the Packers in 2025

What is the Packers' biggest offseason need?

"If I had to try and pinpoint something, I'd say, for the Packers, it obviously depends on the health of their team coming into the beginning of next season," Adams said. "You have to see what's up with [Romeo] Doubs and Christian [Watson], obviously Romeo having a few plays this year where he ended up a little banged up and hit his head on the ground. It's kinda that Tua situation where it can be a week, or it can extend out longer than that. We'll see. I'm praying for him either way."

"I just think it kind of depends on the health of the team. It's looking like, right now, obviously, they may need some receiver help one way or the other, just based off of what they have available. Maybe a veteran or something in there. I don't know, we'll see."

I mean, come on. Come ON. Maybe a veteran or something in there. I usually try not to buy into what guys that go on Kay Adams' show have to say too much, but this is awfully hard to ignore. Adams' career hasn't gone the way he expected it to since leaving Green Bay for the Raiders, and now both he and the Packers are at a point where a reunion makes all the sense in the world. I know it, you know it, and he clearly knows it.

Let's just make this happen. We don't need any more cryptic interviews or side-eye emojis or Twitter threads about why it's a good idea. We're all on the same page. Davante Adams, welcome back.
