Green Bay Packers fans were relieved as Jayden Reed walked to the sideline following a would-be touchdown pass during a matchup against the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football, hoping he was OK after an awkward landing.

But when he began walking toward the locker room with his arm held awkwardly, the fears of a serious injury arose once again. Unfortunately, Reed suffered a broken collarbone.

He had already been playing through a foot injury. Near the end of the preseason, reports emerged that Reed planned to play with a Jones fracture.

Luckily, Reed might be even more effective when he returns. Following a post-procedure live stream on Instagram, he posted on X that the surgeries on both his clavicle and foot were a success. Reed opted to get both injuries fixed, which should allow him to return at 100 percent rather than battling through the foot injury all season.

By choosing to have both procedures done at once, Reed is clearing the way to return to the field stronger than ever.

Of course, he'll still have to go through the appropriate rehab, but his recovery is already heading in the right direction, and when he's ready to start running through drills, the Jones fracture should no longer be a worry.

During his time off, fans can expect more from rookies Matthew Golden and Savion Williams. Christian Watson, who received an extension earlier this month, could also be aiming for an early return from an ACL tear while Reed recovers.

Even with Reed out for a couple of months, fans can rest easy knowing that Jordan Love still has plenty of options to throw to, such as tight end Tucker Kraft, who recorded a career-high 124 yards following Reed's departure.

With just two weeks until the bye, Matt LaFleur and company will use the offense's flexibility to underline why the Packers are such a dangerous team.
