Jaylon Johnson is practically begging Packers to beat Bears in Week 18

I'm sure this definitely won't backfire for the Bears.

If there's been a less exciting season-ending Packers-Bears game in recent memory, I can't think of one. The NFL loves ending both of their seasons in Green Bay, and typically there's at least something to play for.

This year's a little different, as the Packers have all but locked up the NFC's seventh seed – though they can still technically get the sixth seed if a bunch of things break their way – and the Bears are the Bears. In fact, it's such an underwhelming chapter in their rivalry that the NFL gave the game a 12 PM kickoff, which is almost unheard of for Packers-Bears at Lambeau.

But don't tell Jaylon Johnson that.

Jaylon Johnson's pregame talking definitely won't backfire for the Bears, no way

The Bears' cornerback – who's never shied away from competition or a radio hit – was asked about his mindset heading into Chicago's final game of what's been a truly miserable season, and his answer was extremely on-brand.

"F--- 'em. That's how I'm feeling. I'm going to try to go out with a bang," Johnson said, via Mark Grote of 670TheScore.

Well then! That's certainly one way to talk about a team that's not only significantly better than you this year, but has been historically dominant over the last decade (or longer). This is just the Tobias meme from Arrested Development – talking about the Packers like that hasn't worked for literally any other Bears player in the last decade, but it might work for them!

Although, to be honest, I kind of love this. Rivalries shouldn't cool off just because one team has been awful for most of their existence! It's not a rivalry if it's only exciting when both teams are good. The early slate of games has been abysmal over the last two weeks, and by the amount of random QBs starting this weekend for the first time all season, Week 18 figures to be the same. So with that in mind, I love the idea of the Bears just bringing in way too much energy and making things interesting – for the first half at least.

When there are literally no stakes, it's important that players in the Bears-Packers rivalry take it upon themselves to keep things interesting. Jaylon Johnson knows that, and I feel like Packers fans have to at least appreciate that a little bit. Appreciate this now, just like you'll appreciate watching him get torched on Sunday.
