Don't do it. Don't do it. OK, we're doing it. We're overreacting to the Micah Parsons trade buzz.

It started when NFL Network's Ian Rapoport name-dropped the Green Bay Packers as a potential landing spot if the Dallas Cowboys actually trade Parsons. Since then, there has been a lot of unverified noise about the Packers' "rumored" interest that is hard to trust.

But then came John Kuhn, the fan-favorite fullback who now works for the team as part of the Packers Network. In a world of speculation and noise, Kuhn is a voice to listen to. He is a credible source, given his direct relationship with the team.

At 9:55 p.m. CT on Tuesday, he posted these three words on social media:

"Micah Freaking Parsons."

That's it. That's all he wrote before waltzing off back into his real life without giving any further context. Considering social media had been blowing up all night with various "rumors" (again, unverified), the timing was notable. Packers fans have reacted (not so) calmly, as you can imagine.

John Kuhn fuels the Micah Parsons-to-Packers trade buzz and has fans going wild

Kuhn knew exactly what he was doing. The timing was no accident. Various "rumors" surfaced across social media — again, totally unverified — but enough to catch fans' attention. Kuhn then posts that message without context.

The question is whether he's trolling or actually knows something.

So, let's rewind, sort through the speculation and buzz, and look at the facts. What do we know to be true?

Parsons handed in a trade request and is holding out. It doesn't mean the Cowboys have to trade him, or even that he wouldn't accept a new deal if Dallas makes him a strong offer. But it undoubtedly adds some legitimacy to the questions about his future.

Adam Schefter of ESPN believes the rift between the two sides is "personal" and predicts they are "headed towards divorce." He did stress that it won't necessarily happen soon, but Schefter believes Parsons will eventually depart.

Beyond that, it's all speculation, especially the Packers' potential interest. There's no concrete reporting that Green Bay has explored the possibility of a trade.

But, hey, where there's smoke, there's fire, right? GM Brian Gutekunst kicked off the offseason by discussing the need for urgency, and it doesn't get much more urgent than bringing one of the league's best pass-rushers to Green Bay. It would transform the Packers' defense and launch them into the Super Bowl conversation.

At this stage, it's speculation. It's buzz. But Kuhn's comments stand out. Was he simply trolling to add fuel to the drama or hinting at something he's heard?

Only time will tell, but he has our attention.
