The NFL has stirred up drama by potentially allowing players to feature in the 2028 Olympics. Fortunately, the Green Bay Packers don't have to worry about Jordan Love.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, owners plan to "discuss a resolution" that will allow players to participate in flag football at the upcoming games in Los Angeles.

That might sound fun, but try telling fans when their star player suffers an injury on the eve of training camp. Flag football is non-contact, but if they are playing at an Olympic level, there's an increased risk of a soft-tissue injury that could derail a player's training camp or preseason.

You know who will hate it? Head coaches.

That's a bridge Matt LaFleur will have to cross nearer the time, but he won't have too many concerns about his franchise quarterback taking off for the Olympics.

"I'm not even worried about flag football," Love told Up & Adams last month. "I've got other things to worry about."

Packers can rest easy knowing Jordan Love isn't pushing to play in the Olympics

Adams asked Love which teammate would dominate in flag football, and he didn't hesitate before naming Dontayvion Wicks. Adams pushed Love by saying he needs to be part of the Olympic team.

"I would love to, but I don't think I've got enough wiggle to be able to make people miss with the flags on me. I'd drop some dimes, though," Love added.

Admittedly, it would be fun to watch Love winning Olympic gold, but you know what's even better? Watching him lead the Green and Gold to a Lombardi Trophy. That's where Love's focus is.

Love is right, though. He would drop some dimes, and it would be fun to see. Imagine the former first-rounder lighting up Olympic defenses and throwing to Matthew Golden.

But there's too much risk, even in flag football. Losing your franchise quarterback for any length of time due to getting injured in an Olympic flag football game is one way to anger a head coach and deflate the fan base.

Fortunately, Love has one focus. The Olympics will be fun, but Love isn't bothered by gold medals. He wants to bring the Lombardi Trophy home.
