Green Bay Packers fans held their breath when Jordan Love took a big hit to his shoulder and had to exit Sunday's win over the New York Giants. Malik Willis led a touchdown drive in his absence, and thankfully, Love returned shortly after.

Love put in a gutsy performance to lead the Packers to an ugly but crucial 27-20 victory, and he isn't too concerned about the injury.

"Yeah, it's tough. Went in, got evaluated, and figured it was good enough to come back. It was definitely not fun. Just a small injury. We'll reevaluate it when we get back, look at it, see what's going on. But yeah, not fun," Love said.

Love confirmed he hurt his shoulder on the hit, but he was able to manage it for the rest of the game.

"No, it was definitely manageable. I'll say that. Something I was able to play through. It was definitely there, but it was manageable," Love added.

The good news is the injury is on his non-throwing shoulder. It's still not ideal, of course, but it would be far more problematic if it were on his right arm.

Even better news is that Love never looked in too much discomfort, especially after he returned. The Packers' star quarterback completed 13 of 24 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns, although that doesn't tell the full story. The Packers receivers couldn't stop dropping the ball, which in turn hurts Love's box score.

Pro Football Focus awarded him an (unofficial) passing grade of 94.0, which is in elite territory. They credited Love with three big-time throws, no turnover-worthy plays, and an adjusted completion percentage of 80 percent.

A lot went wrong for the Packers, but Love remained poised and quietly put in an outstanding performance. Fortunately, it seems he avoided a significant injury. Hopefully, Green Bay will also get positive news on the other injured players, including Josh Jacobs, who left the game with a knee injury and couldn't return.
