Given how much Aaron Rodgers inserted himself in this week's news cycle, you'd almost forget that the Packers still have a whole Jaire Alexander saga to figure out. Maybe Alexander should try and book a slot on Pat McAfee's show?

Since the Packers' season ended, it's felt like a split from Alexander has been one of the worst-kept secrets in the NFL. Brian Gutekunst's season-ending press conference comments about it weren't exactly optimistic, and it just sort of feels like one of those situations that's destined to end in a draft weekend trade (for Jalen Ramsey?!).
Everyone's got their opinions on the matter, of course, and on Thursday we finally got Jordan Love's. Love, who was appearing on Kay Adam's daily morning show – from his car, apparently – was asked about where things stand between the two sides, and gave the most QB answer in the history of QB answers.
If Jordan Love wants Jaire Alexander back, maybe the Packers should bring him back
"I need to reach out to [Jaire] and see what the deal is," Love said. "You know, he's got his own world going on. I'm going to let him handle his business and see what's going on. But that's my guy right there. He's definitely a player we need back. Just the style he plays, who he is on the field, that's a guy we to have around, so we'll see what happens ... locker room wise, he's a character. That's a guy where you never know what you're going to get with Ja. He's always a guy that always interacts with everyone on the team. He jokes around, but he's also got that serious side to him and is a competitor. Obviously, the player on the field is a whole other area we'd be losing if we didn't have him ... I'm hoping Ja's still with us, we'll see. That's my guy right there."
He can't tell you the last time that they talked, but that's his guy right there. Male friendship! All in all, it sounds like Love knows exactly what everyone else knows: it'd be nice if the two sides could find a way to make things work, but things don't look great right now. If I had to tell Kay Adams that yeah, he's probably gone but I don't want comment on another dude's contract stuff, that's probably how I'd phrase it too.
Maybe this is the moment that changes everything, and the Packers listen to their QB and get something done. Or maybe we all forget this by draft night because of whatever Aaron Rodgers has to say next week. I wonder which one it'll be.
