Crisis averted!

Even though the game was never really all that close, the Green Bay Packers came away from their Week 16 win with their fair share of concerns. Like Matt LaFleur told reporters after the game, there's still plenty that they can clean up before next Sunday's game in Minnesota.

And what may be more concerning than their play, at this point, are the injuries starting to once again pile up. Four defensive starters – including Jaire Alexander, who was a full-participant in practice all week – were inactive for Monday night's game, and wide receiver Christian Watson left the game with a knee injury that LaFleur admitted to being concerned about.

It's why Packers fans were a little panicky when Josh Jacobs suddenly wasn't playing much in the second half. Fortunately there's nothing to worry about (with Jacobs, at least) as LaFleur cleared up the confusion after the game, explaining that it was his decision to pull him at halftime.

"Yeah, he wanted to go back in, but there was no need for it," LaFleur said. "And I actually told him at halftime, 'Hey, we'll give you another series in the second half, but I want to get you out.' Just with it being a short week, and getting him ready to roll for Minnesota."

That matches what Jacobs told Scott Van Pelt on SportsCenter after the game, so it sounds like LaFleur had probably just seen enough of his playmakers going down with injuries in a pointless blowout win and decided to start making business decisions.

Or maybe, like Jacobs pointed out to SVP, LaFleur just wanted all three of the Packers running backs to score. Whatever the case may be, at least it's not another Packers injury. And maybe even more than Week 16's playoff-clinching win, that's what really matters the most.
