This could spiral in a hurry.

As if it weren't bad enough to watch the Green Bay Packers collapse in prime time, to the Chicago Bears of all teams, this team watched their injury problems get even worse in the loss.

In the first half against Chicago, starting quarterback Jordan Love got knocked out of the game on a questionable hit from Bears defensive end Austin Booker. For the remainder of the night, it was Malik Willis, who performed extremely well given the circumstances.

Late in the game, though, Willis appeared to get hurt. On the day after a crushing overtime loss, head coach Matt LaFleur held a press conference and provided an update on the quarterback situation.

"I'd say he's pretty sore," LaFleur started when talking about Willis. "That's a legitimate deal that he's dealing with. He's going to be another guy that we'll see where he's at as we progress. That further complicates the other problem."

The Packers' quarterback situation just turned into a nightmare

As we all know, by now, the "other problem" LaFleur is referring to is the fact Love is in concussion protocol after that hit he took.

LaFleur would go on to note that Willis' injury is to his shoulder. While we didn't hear specific details when it came to the nature of Willis' injury, just the fact that LaFleur called it "legitimate" is indeed worrisome.

On the live broadcast Saturday night, the broadcast booth noted Green Bay's emergency quarterback would have been Josh Jacobs if Willis needed to come out of the game. Now, going into the coming days and preparing for the Baltimore Ravens in Week 17, Green Bay might have to search for answers.

The Packers have Clayton Tune on their practice squad, so he's at least familiar with the offense. But, Tune has only started one game in his two-plus years in the league and it didn't go so well. As a rookie with the Arizona Cardinals in 2023, Tune finished 12-of-21 for 62 yards and two picks in his lone start.

If Love and Willis are unable to go against Baltimore, the Packers' season might be in serious jeopardy. Fans don't want to see Tune get the nod. There is just no positive way you could spin that scenario.

For now, there is no panicking just yet. The next couple of days will tell us a lot about whether the Packers could have either Love or Willis this coming Saturday night.
