Much-maligned Packers first-round pick named All-Breakout team member

You may think that we're in the doldrums of the NFL calendar, but that's the wrong way to look at it. Consider this: there's never been a better time to be wildly too optimistic about the Green Bay Packers.

Once they start actually playing games, it's (probably) all downhill from there. Players get hurt, or don't play well, or both – they might even lose to the Chicago Bears again. But we'll cross that bridge when we get there, which is extremely not today. Today, we celebrate internet lists like they're division titles.

And what a list we have today. Pro Football Focus put together their 2025 All-Breakout team, which doesn't feel like it needs much more of an explanation? It's a fun little read for your commute/standing in line at the post office, especially when they name-drop a Packers player with huge expectations this season. Breakout expectations, you might say.

Pro Football Focus still loves Jordan Morgan's potential heading into Year 2

Jordan Morgan is among the guards in PFF's All-Breakout Team. He could play left tackle or right guard in the Packers' offense this season.

"In light of the Packers' offensive line reshuffling, Elgton Jenkins is expected to slide from guard to center, leaving an opening at the corresponding guard spot next to the newcomer Banks," writes Bradley Locker of Pro Football Focus. "Given Morgan's college pedigree — he turned in an 83.4-plus overall PFF grade in both 2022 and 2023 — he appears poised to win that job, if not follow in Jenkins' and others' footsteps and break out."

Sounds good to me! 83.4-plus! That seems excellent. Way better than those other numbers which actually probably don't even matter at all. What does matter is that Jordan Morgan made an exciting offseason list, which should be taken seriously and not tossed aside as offseason content, which is only the protocol for when Packers players show up on negative lists.
