Aaron Rodgers Watch continues. It's still unclear where he will end up, but the quarterback pieces are beginning to fall into place.

The Seattle Seahawks have signed Sam Darnold to replace Geno Smith, creating a potential quarterback opening in Minnesota. Justin Fields replaces Rodgers as the New York Jets' new QB1.

As the quarterback carousel continues to spin, we can begin to identify the most likely landing spots by a process of elimination. Rodgers may have to choose between the New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Minnesota Vikings.

Yes — Rodgers to Minnesota is on the table. The full Brett Favre career arc could happen.

Of course, Rodgers joining a division rival would directly impact the Green Bay Packers, but it now appears that wherever he ends up will result in a revenge game.

Aaron Rodgers playing against the Packers in 2025 has become inevitable after Seahawks sign Sam Darnold

As The Athletic's Matt Schneidman notes, Rodgers will likely play for the Giants, Steelers, or Vikings. All three teams are on the Packers' 2025 schedule.

Green Bay gets Minnesota twice and will play on the road against New York and Pittsburgh. The Packers-Steelers game is rumored to take place in Dublin, Ireland, although nothing has been confirmed. Talk about a perfect matchup for the first-ever regular-season game in Ireland.

Only one path would lead to a Rodgers return to Lambeau Field, but that requires him going full Favre and signing with the Vikings.

Anything is possible, and it would provide endless drama, but do we really want to see that? Rodgers is arguably the Packers' greatest quarterback. Watching him reunite with Aaron Jones in Vikings purple? That's no fun.

But unless Rodgers retires or finds a surprising landing spot, a revenge game against the Packers is now likely to happen.
