Packers' early Super Bowl 60 betting odds should put the league on notice

Only three NFC teams are getting better odds to win Super Bowl 60 than the Packers.

While the Green Bay Packers' 2024 season came to an end with a disappointing (and somewhat embarrassing) 22-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card Round of the NFL Playoffs, the defeat doesn't look quite as bad now after the Birds walloped the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59 by a score of 40-22.

And if you watched the title game, you know the game wasn't even nearly as close as the 18-point margin of victory would indicate, which is obviously saying something. So, again, the Packers can at least take solace in the fact that they played Philly better than the two-time defending champs did.

With the 2024 campaign as a whole officially a thing of the past, every team will now turn its attention to what the 2025 season will bring. And the same goes for NFL oddsmakers, who wasted no time in posting the way-too-early betting odds on who will win Super Bowl 60.

Obviously, these odds will change time and time again over the next few months once we see what every team's roster looks like in the aftermath of free agency and the 2025 NFL Draft.

Regarding free agency, Green Bay is undoubtedly in a position to improve. While close to 20 players on this past season's roster are set to enter free agency, the vast majority weren't key contributors, and even some of the more prominent names likely won't be back. And with the Packers having a solid amount of salary cap space, they should easily be able to make some upgrades.

As for the draft, which Green Bay will host for the first time ever, the Packers don't have as many selections as they did a year ago but still have one in each round and are in line to receive an additional pick as well. So, whatever GM Brian Gutekunst and head coach Matt LaFleur can't add in free agency, they can hopefully find some additional help from the draft pool.

But even before all the madness that is the NFL offseason begins, the Packers are getting a little love in the early Super Bowl 60 betting odds.

The Packers are tied for seventh in the early Super Bowl 60 betting odds

Given how the Eagles manhandled the Chiefs on Sunday night, it should come as no surprise that they're the early betting favorites at +550 to win next year's Super Bowl, which will be contested on February 8, 2026, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, home of the San Francisco 49ers.

And given that the Chiefs have appeared in the title game in five of the last six seasons, it's also not a shock to see them near the top of the board at +700, good for a tie for second with the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens.

As for the Packers, they're currently in a tie for the seventh-shortest odds alongside the Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Commanders at +1800.

Among NFC teams, only the Eagles (+550), Detroit Lions (+900), and the aforementioned 49ers (+1500) are being given better chances to hoist the Lombardi Trophy a year from now.

Here's a look at the early Super Bowl 60 betting odds for all 32 teams, as listed at DraftKings.
