Packers' early Super Bowl 61 odds are surprising (and Bears fans won't be happy)

The Packers have been given better odds to win Super Bowl 61 than all but three teams in the NFC.

With the 2025 NFL season at an end following the Seattle Seahawks' 29-13 victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday night in Super Bowl 60, the march toward Super Bowl 61 at SoFi Stadium next February has now officially begun for all 32 teams.

The Green Bay Packers' offseason, of course, has been underway for nearly a month now, as their 2025 campaign came to a close back on January 10 with a 31-27 defeat in the Wild Card Round to the rival Chicago Bears, a loss in which Matt LaFleur & Co. surrendered a 15-point fourth-quarter lead by allowing 25 points in the final frame.

In the early weeks of this offseason, the Packers were forced to put much of their focus on finding a replacement for defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, who left Green Bay after two years to become the new head coach of the Miami Dolphins, ultimately landing on former Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon.

The full focus now becomes the roster, which could look a lot different in the near future, as Green Bay has nearly 25 players set to enter some form of free agency, a list that includes offensive linemen Sean Rhyan and Rasheed Walker, wide receiver Romeo Doubs, linebacker Quay Walker, edge rusher Kingsley Enagbare, and backup quarterback Malik Willis.

There are also several prime cut candidates to consider, a list led by Elgton Jenkins and could also conceivably include Rashan Gary, and let's not forget that the Packers will likely have to open the 2026 season without the services of Micah Parsons, who suffered a torn ACL in early December, an injury that typically requires nine to 12 months of recovery time.

So, there's certainly work to be done. That said, though, NFL oddsmakers are apparently very confident that the Packers will navigate this 2026 offseason successfully, as Green Bay has been given very favorable odds to win Super Bowl 61.

The Packers are tied for the seventh-best odds to win Super Bowl 61

Unsurprisingly, Seattle sits atop the way-too-early odds to win Super Bowl 61 at +950, but the newly-crowned champs do have company, as their opponent in the NFC Championship Game, the Los Angeles Rams, have been given those exact same odds.

As for where Green Bay stands, the Packers are currently tied for seventh alongside the Detroit Lions at +1400, which certainly can't make Chicago Bears fans happy, as defending NFC North champs barely cracked the top half, tying for 15th with the Cincinnati Bengals at +2500.

While we didn't include divisional numbers in the table below, the Packers and Lions are naturally tied in that regard, with each getting +180 odds to win the NFC North. The Bears sit alone in third at +350, while the Minnesota Vikings bring up the rear at +700.

While these numbers will undoubtedly change several times between now and the start of the 2026 season, here are the way-too-early betting odds for Super Bowl 61.
