In his eight seasons as a member of the Green Bay Packers, wide receiver Davante Adams made four trips to the NFC Championship Game. Unfortunately for him, of course, each of those four appearances resulted in a loss.

But Adams will now get a fifth shot at his first Super Bowl, as his Los Angeles Rams went into a frigid and snowy Soldier Field on Sunday night and earned a hard-fought 20-17 overtime victory in the Divisional Round over the Chicago Bears, thus setting up an all-NFC West conference title game next week against the top-seeded Seattle Seahawks.

The Packers, of course, had the second-seeded Bears on the ropes in the Wild Card Round, holding a 15-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, only to surrender 25 points in the final frame en route to a 31-27 defeat.

Davante Adams says Rams' win in Chicago felt like the old Packers-Bears games

In the aftermath of the Rams' wild win, Adams couldn't help but reminisce about his days in the NFC North, as he told NFL Network's Stacey Dales that Sunday's contest reminded him of all the rivalry games he used to play against Chicago while wearing the Green & Gold.

"It felt like one of the old Packer-Bears rivalry games," Adams said. "I mean, I'm not on the Packers no more, but it was a beautiful game, you know, the weather, everything about this just felt like the playoffs, and we came out on the right side of it, so it's even better."

Adams didn't have a particularly great game, catching just two passes for 24 yards on six targets. But both receptions proved to be valuable, with the first of his two 12-yard grabs coming on the drive that ultimately gave the Rams a 17-10 lead and the second coming on the final drive in overtime that led to Harrison Mevis' game-winning 42-yard field goal.

Despite posting his second-lowest yardage total of the season, the six-time Pro Bowler has obviously been an invaluable piece of the Rams' high-octane offense, as he caught 60 passes for 789 yards and an NFL-best 14 touchdowns during the regular season and added five grabs for 72 yards in the Rams' wild-card win over the Carolina Panthers.

In the days leading into the matchup with the Bears, Adams told FanDuel's Kay Adams that "once a Packer, always a Packer," and that if Green Bay fans could get some enjoyment from Los Angeles taking down Chicago, he'd "love that as well."

Well, it's probably safe to say that Cheeseheads everywhere got plenty of enjoyment from watching what went down on Sunday, so Adams can head back to the NFC Championship Game knowing he's got plenty of Packers fans now rooting for the Rams the rest of the way.
