The Green Bay Packers dismantled the Washington Commanders in Week 2, and it's clear how appreciative the fans are of Micah Parsons.
It still almost feels too good to be true for fans. Parsons and the Packers are now 2-0 on the 2025 NFL season after their second-straight home win this year. They've beaten the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders by a combined 23 points and are trending toward earning a top seed in the NFC this year.
Right before the regular season, the Packers pulled off a miraculous trade for Parsons and added one of the 10 best players in the NFL. And while it's only been two games, Parsons has made a massive impact for the team.
Packers fans chant 'thank you Jerry' after Green Bay's huge win on TNF
Yes, Packers' fans were actually chanting 'thank you Jerry' during the postgame interview when Parsons met with the TNF crew:
"Thank You Jerry!"

It seemed like a total dream just one month ago, but the Dallas Cowboys basically handed over Parsons to the Packers for free, and he's made his presence felt in a major way already.
Parsons was on fire in the second half and finished Week 2 with 0.5 sacks and eight total pressures, six coming in the second half alone.
Micah Parsons generated a team-high 8 pressures and 0.5 sacks on 37 pass rushes (21.6%) in his second game with the Packers.

Through two games with the Packers, Parsons now has 1.5 sacks, one tackle for loss, and four QB hits. Green Bay has also allowed just 15.5 points per game through their first two games, and they all of a sudden find themselves atop the NFC.
No one would argue that the Packers appear to be the best in the NFL, and I have said this for a while now, but the Micah Parsons trade not only gave the Packers a missing piece on defense, but it also felt a bit symbolic.
It's clear that 2025 is a 'changing of the guard' if you will, in the NFC. The NFC North appears to already be in the Packers' control, and this team might truly have what it takes to make a Super Bowl run.
Thank you Jerry, indeed.
