Packers fans will hate proposed trade that reunites Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams

And for an NFC rival, no less.

I honestly thought we were done with this.

If the Jets proved anything this year, it's that building your team's offense around Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams probably ain't it? Right? Am I going crazy? Didn't they lose 12 games?! Why is anyone looking at the Jets and coming away from that experience thinking they were onto something?

These are all questions that I'd love to calmly ask Bleacher Report. The internet's go-to guide for the wackiest trade proposals you'll see all offseason are, I'm happy to report, At It Once Again with their latest list of "7 NFL Trades That Would Shake Up Free Agency, Draft Projections." It's not like I even have that much beef with most of these ideas, but one of them is so unhinged in a way that feels like a personal attack against Packers fans. And even if it's not, you can absolutely bet I'm taking it as one.

Bleacher Report's latest Rodgers/Adams trade proposal is a sick joke, right?

"If the Rams trade Stafford, they can temporarily fix the position and strengthen their offense by adding the second-round pick from the Steelers trade to a package for Rodgers and Adams. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Rodgers would be "thrilled" to play with the Rams if they don't work out a new deal with Stafford. The Rams can acquire Rodgers and Adams as a package deal to replace Stafford and Kupp and stay in a win-now window. They would also have their first-round pick to take a quarterback or address another position of need."

What makes me most angry about this idea is how much I think it would work. Search your feelings, you know it to be true. Nothing against Sean McVay personally, but the league needs to stop giving him nice things. I thought we were all on the same page about Rodgers finishing his career in the most bleak way possible: starting nine games for the Tennessee Titans. This is, uh, not that. The Rams?!

Help us, Pittsburgh. You're our only hope. And I know you think I'm just writing this to use overdone lines from Star Wars, but I really mean it. They're our only hope. The idea of Rodgers and Adams absolutely tearing it up for a Packers NFC Rival – and the dreaded notion of playing them in the postseason – needs to be taken way more seriously than it currently is. Bleacher Report, you'll be hearing from my lawyers.
