Packers' Jordan Love just eked into the top 10 of the way-too-early 2026 NFL MVP odds

Love likely would have been an MVP finalist this past season had he not had a couple of issues late in the year.

For much of the 2025 season, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love was right there in the thick of the NFL MVP race.

Over the Packers' first seven games of the campaign, the third-year starter had led Green Bay to a 5-1-1 record, completing 70.9 percent of his passes (151-213) for 1,798 yards with 13 touchdowns against just two interceptions to earn a 112.8 passer rating.

He had a couple of rough weeks in the middle of the season in losses to the Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles, but he got himself back on track, and after throwing for throwing for 234 yards and a career-high-matching four touchdowns with zero interceptions in Green Bay's 31-24 victory over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day, Love had moved into fourth in the MVP betting odds at +1500.

And after throwing for another 234 yards with three touchdowns and an interception in the Packers' Week 14 win over the Chicago Bears, Love saw his odds improve to +1000, putting him in third behind only Matthew Stafford (-180) and Drake Maye (+200).

But that was as good as it got, as a rough second half in a Week 15 loss to the Denver Broncos knocked him down into fifth at +7500, and it was all she wrote when he suffered a concussion in the rematch with the Bears in Week 16, which ultimately knocked him out of action in Week 17 against the Baltimore Ravens.

He could have suited up for Week 18 against the Minnesota Vikings, but with Green Bay's playoff position set, there was no need for him to take the field.

Love was likely never going to win NFL MVP, as it was a clear two-man race between Stafford and Maye, a race Stafford ultimately won by a single vote, but just being named a finalist would've been nice. But perhaps he can make that final five in 2026, and oddsmakers seem to think he can be a factor.

Jordan Love sits in a tie for ninth in the way-too-early 2026 NFL MVP odds

With the 2025 season officially in the books following the Seattle Seahawks' Super Bowl 60 win over the New England Patriots this past Sunday, oddsmakers have quickly turned their attention to the 2026 campaign.

As a team, the Packers found themselves in the top 10 in the early odds to win Super Bowl 61, and Love also finds himself in the top 10 in the early odds for 2026 NFL MVP, albeit not by much, as he sits in a tie for ninth at +1500 alongside none other than Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.

Honestly, given where everyone else on the list stands, that's not a bad place to be whatsoever. The figures below will obviously fluctuate over the next few months, as free agency and the draft will determine some of the weapons these 10 quarterbacks have at their disposal once the 2026 campaign begins.

But it's still entertaining to see what oddsmakers are thinking now, so we have a baseline to look back on down the road once the race heats up nine to 10 months from now. So, with that in mind, here's the top 10 in the way-too-early 2026 NFL MVP odds.
