Packers' latest practice report might cause some Jordan Love panic
This is simply not the week for serious Green Bay Packers injuries. And it's not like any week is a good week for serious Packers injuries, but this week is especially NOT the week for it.
So, naturally, the Packers' injury list is a disaster today. Ahead of maybe the team's biggest game of the season – a home Week 9 matchup against the division-leading, 6-1 Detroit Lions – Green Bay's dealing with not just a ton of injuries, but a ton of injuries at key positions.
According to Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated, both Jordan Love and Jaire Alexander weren't seen at practice.

We'll get a little more info when the team releases their first official injury report for the week (which always comes on Wednesday) and during LaFleur's press conference later on this afternoon, but even just reading Huber's tweet is enough to fill Packers fans with anxiety.
Love and Alexander are certainly the headliners, but there's a half-dozen names that are a real concern heading into Sunday's game. Hope everyone's excited!
Jordan Love and Jaire Alexander weren't seen at Packers practice on Wednesday
The good news is that it doesn't sound like either Love or Alexander is going to miss a lot of time. Both of their early-week tests came back positive, with neither Love's groin injury or Alexander's knee issue expected to keep them out long.
On top of that, it is only Wednesday – if we had to rank which day of an NFL injury report matters the least, it'd be Wednesday's. Quite frankly, the only update that'll really matter is Friday's. If neither of them are practicing by then, Packers fans will have way more solid ground to panic on.
This could also be another textbook case of dopey NFL Coach Shennanigans – coaches love nothing more than trying to be clever about injuries. Case in point: over in Detroit, Jared Goff, Frank Ragnow, Taylor Decker, and Graham Glasgow are among nine guys who didn't practice today, and Dan Campbell openly admitted that they're already at the point in the season when guys won't practice nearly as often as they did for the first two months.
So, maybe not time to panic quite yet. But also if you wanted to panic, I wouldn't blame you. Life is too short not to overreact to a practice report.
