The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears have engaged in plenty of nail-biters over the last century, and Sunday's matchup at Soldier Field can certainly be added to that list.

Green Bay looked fantastic early as Jordan Love led an eight-play, 70-yard drive that culminated with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Jayden Reed, thus giving the Packers a 7-0 lead just 3:45 into the game.

But for the next 40 minutes or so, it was the Bears who dominated on both sides of the football. The Chicago offense, which hadn't scored a touchdown since Week 8, put up 13 unanswered points. And the Bears did snap that futility streak as Roschon Johnson found the end zone on a 1-yard run with just seven ticks remaining on the clock in the first half.

And that touchdown was the result of a great defensive stop by the Bears on the previous possession, as Love was intercepted near the goal line by Terell Smith. So, again, Chicago was dominating every facet of the game.

The Packers finally put more points on the board midway through the third quarter on a 7-yard touchdown run from Josh Jacobs, giving Green Bay a 14-13 lead.

But the Bears bounced right back, with Caleb Williams leading an 11-play, 78-yard drive on the ensuing possession, which resulted in a D'Andre Swift touchdown. Chicago failed to convert the two-point attempt, however, keeping the score at 19-14.

The two teams traded scoreless drives in the final frame before Love gave the Packers a 20-19 lead on a quarterback sneak with just under three minutes remaining, a score made possible by an incredible 60-yard reception from Christian Watson.

And we all know what happened from there. While the Bears put themselves in a great position for a game-winning 46-yard field goal from Cairo Santos, Karl Brooks ruined the party for the Monsters of the Midway with a sensational block to secure the one-point win.

And with that win came some history.

The Packers' 11-game winning streak against the Bears is the longest in team history

It's no secret that Green Bay has owned Chicago in recent years. And now, there's a historic element to this dominance.

With the win on Sunday, the Packers have now beaten the Bears 11 consecutive times, which marks the longest winning streak ever against their longtime rivals. The 10-win streak coming into this game was tied for the longest, as Brett Favre led Green Bay to 10 straight wins over Chicago over a five-season stretch from 1994 to 1998.

What's absolutely wild is how that streak concluded.

In Week 9 of the 1999 campaign, Green Bay trailed Chicago 14-13 in the waning moments at Lambeau Field but had set themselves up for what looked to be an easy game-winning 28-yard field goal from Ryan Longwell with seven seconds remaining.

Yeah, you see what's coming.

Just as the Packers extended their streak to 11 on Sunday with a blocked field goal, the Bears stopped Green Bay from winning 11 straight back then as Bryan Robinson blocked Longwell's attempt, thus preserving the one-point win.

Seriously, how great is this rivalry?

The Packers will look to extend this current streak to an even dozen when they welcome the Bears to Lambeau in Week 18.
