Most teams in the NFL struggle with offensive line depth. Blame it on whatever metric in the recruiting or development process of college football, there simply aren't enough linemen for each franchise to have 6-9 linemen they can truly trust in a regular-season game.

Still, that doesn't mean the Green Bay Packers should sit back and be content with their reserves. Green Bay's starting five looks strong, but if any of them miss any amount of time, especially on the interior, there will be serious concerns across the state of Wisconsin about Jordan Love's well-being.

With roster cuts just around the corner, the Packers are surely looking ahead to some notable free agents and cut candidates from around the league who are worth entertaining as possible additions to the offensive line depth chart. These four linemen are just some of the options that should be available for Green Bay to consider later this month.

Four offensive line depth options Packers should consider

Nick Harris, C

Nick Harris isn't a huge name in the free agency pool, but he's one worth monitoring after the Packers make their final roster cuts. Harris last played for the Cleveland Browns, where he started six games at center over the past four seasons.

Unfortunately, injuries have plagued his career. Harris injured his ankle just three plays into his last start for the Browns in a Week 6 game against Philadelphia, which ended his 2024 season. Two years prior, he had a season-ending knee injury, too.

If Harris is healthy, he's worth a shot as a potential backup for Elgton Jenkins at center. What little the 26-year-old has played can be categorized as serviceable, which is certainly competitive against what Jacob Monk currently offers in the role.

Isaiah Wynn, T/G

Isaiah Wynn's career has also been disrupted by injuries. A 2018 first-round pick for the New England Patriots, Wynn spent the last two seasons with the Miami Dolphins, where he started 10 games.

Wynn has positional versatility, making him a viable backup at guard or center. Entering his age-30 season, Wynn's best days are likely behind him thanks to the injuries, but the Packers need reliable depth in a pinch, not long-term answers.

There aren't many free agent interior options out there ahead of cuts, but Wynn might be at the top of the list of players currently without a team worth giving a call.

David Quessenberry, T

If the name David Quessenberry rings a bell, it should. The former Houston Texans 2013 sixth-round pick battled back from injuries and a bout with cancer to get his NFL career started later in the decade. He spent the last two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings before signing with the Los Angeles Rams this offseason. He is expected to be cut at the end of the preseason.

Quessenberry has only started seven games since logging a full starter's season in 2021 with the Titans, so, at nearly 35 years old, he's purely a short-term backup option at this point. Still, he's one of the very few veteran reserves who can shore up the depth in Green Bay.

His recent familiarity playing in the NFC North and at least having a full training camp under his belt at least makes him a more comfortable option than the first two.

Cole Strange, G/C

Another former first-round pick of the Patriots, Chattanooga product Cole Strange is one of the most prominent names among cut candidates across the NFL. While his time as a starter may be coming to a close, his position flexibility along the interior is exactly what Green Bay needs on the depth chart.

Strange has started 29 games over the past three seasons, though only two came in 2024. The 27-year-old will likely have many teams vying for his services to help boost their interior offensive line depth, so the Packers need to be aggressive in pursuing him if he becomes available.
