The Green Bay Packers need to continue to add talent to their wide receiver room, despite having a wide array of skills there already. The notion that this group needs a true alpha continues to be a popular narrative.
Whether or not they go after a top wide receiver prospect early in the 2025 NFL Draft remains to be seen. But, Stanford's Elic Ayomanor has some traits that could be appealing a bit later on.
As someone sure to hear his name earlier rather than later, Ayomanor comes into the draft with a prototypical build and physical tools that would allow him to flourish at the next level.

Positives
- Has the NFL size desired to play both inside and outside; able to line up multiple areas including the slot
- Finds himself winning contested catches more often than not
- On-field play speed good enough to maneuver past defensive backs, in zone, on outside routes
- Physical, strong, willing blocker
Ayomanor is a great example of an wide receiver with NFL size and physical traits to be able to play the slot or on the outside. He will feast in zone coverage as well as make the occasional eye-popping, acrobatic catch. His physical profile sets him up to be even more aggressive than he is in key situations such as run blocking.
Negatives
- Tight man coverage could give him problems due to lack of next gear
- Surprisingly inconsistent at tracking the ball down field
- Drops have been a concern
He's not a player you want to throw the deeper passes to on account of his inconsistent tracking ability. Ayomanor could also struggle big time against press-man coverage as he doesn't have the short-area quickness and speed to break free. As always, when you see an issue in regards to drops, that is a major red flag.

The height and weight between Ayomanor and Jakobi Meyers are almost identical, which makes an easy first comparison. But, the two of them are also diverse in where they can line up and play similar styles. Acrobatic catches and intense work ethic match while the lack of elite play speed have hampered them both.
Elic Ayomanor 2025 NFL Draft Grade: Round 4
Ayomanor could go higher, but his traits put him as a safe Round 4 target. His ability to put his nose down and work to improve might just allow him to be a steal if he's taken here, but banking on the inconsistencies might be a mistake if he's selected as a Day 2 pick.
