Fantasy football preparations are underway, but the sheer volume of Green Bay Packers offensive playmakers can make it difficult to determine who will rise to meet your roster's needs.
Jordan Love spread the ball evenly among his receivers last season, with four of them (Dontayvion Wicks, Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, and Tucker Kraft) amassing at least 70 targets. The Packers were the only team to do this in 2024 besides the Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins, and New York Jets (the latter of which owes thanks to the addition of Davante Adams).
Such a wide spread of targets could make your draft end up looking like a dart board, with hopeful attempts of stealing a star scattered throughout the later rounds. I've looked back at the season, and there is definite fantasy potential within the Green Bay roster, from surefire stars and safe bets to a few long shots with real upside.
Here are the Packers players who could make a difference in your fantasy league.
Packers stars actually worth drafting in fantasy football this season
Quarterback: Jordan Love
Without the X-factor mobility that comes with players like Lamar Jackson and Jayden Daniels, Jordan Love might not be your first choice when drafting a quarterback.
However, despite missing two games due to injury, he still finished in the top 10 when it came to passing touchdowns (25). Love is a pocket passer with a great arm who can connect on aggressive throws; he ranked in the top five for yards per attempt and yards per completion, according to Pro Football Reference. This makes him worth taking a shot on if you can't secure one of the elite fantasy quarterbacks.
Running back: Josh Jacobs
Josh Jacobs signed with the Packers during the summer of 2024 and, despite recording just one touchdown in his first four games, he had one of the best scoring streaks in the league from Week 11 to 18.
The former Raider finished as the sixth highest-scoring running back in PPR scoring, thanks to six consecutive games over 20 points (eight games in total).
While he wasn't used in the passing game as much as in previous seasons, with his lowest number of targets (43) since his rookie year, Jacobs remains one of the most versatile backs in the NFL. With no reason to look backward, Jacobs is a strong RB1 you can rely on each week as the Packers continue to use him to spearhead their rushing game.
Wide receivers: Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Matthew Golden
The receiver room may be crowded in Green Bay, but there is a good chance someone will emerge as Jordan Love's favorite target, especially with Christian Watson likely to miss the start of the season.
Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs finished the season with 11.6 and 10.2 points per game, leaving them as options for a fringe WR2 or FLEX slot (although Doubs's future as a Packer has come into question this offseason).
Another target for Love is Matthew Golden, a first-round pick from this year's draft. He finished last season at Texas with nearly 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns, surpassing every Green Bay receiver in those categories. There are high expectations surrounding Golden, so he should be on your radar as your draft approaches. He could end up being a steal.
Tight end: Tucker Kraft
Tucker Kraft might be the most underrated pick here. The young tight end from South Dakota finished with the fourth-most fantasy points on the team last season, recording 9.6 PPG and over 700 yards. He was in the top 10 among tight ends and will have plenty of opportunities to reach even higher in 2025, with players like Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, and Zach Ertz only getting older and facing more competition from eager receivers.
Even with options all across the draft board, Green Bay might not get the most attention from fantasy football managers. This means you can get great value by taking some of these talented players in later rounds. It may take a couple of weeks to establish some consistency among the receivers, but Josh Jacobs and Jordan Love will be ready to start in your lineup from Week 1.
