The Detroit Lions traded up for Isaac TeSlaa in the biggest reach of the NFL Draft, and the rookie wide receiver has already made a massive mistake.

TeSlaa provided the Green Bay Packers with free bulletin board material.

Appearing on the St. Brown Podcast, hosted by former Packers receiver Equanimeous St. Brown and current Lions Pro Bowler Amon-Ra, TeSlaa took a shot at his new division rival.

"Oh I hate the Packers, with a burning passion," TeSlaa said.

It's fitting that he was a guest on St. Brown's podcast, as the Lions receiver has taken his share of shots at the Packers in recent years. He turned up at Lambeau Field in a misspelled "GreenBay Sucks" hoodie, and he later called the fans "delusional."

It only gives the Packers more fuel.

Isaac TeSlaa will have to worry about the Packers at Lambeau Field in Week 1

The Lions have made some questionable draft moves in recent years, but trading all the way up for TeSlaa in the third round sits near the top.

The Packers may also be partly to blame. There were rumors before the draft that Detroit could trade Jameson Williams, which was notable as the team had hosted Matthew Golden for a pre-draft visit. Green Bay prevented Golden from falling to the Lions in the first round.

A day later, Detroit packaged multiple picks in a surprising trade-up for TeSlaa, selecting him 70th overall. For perspective, the consensus board had the Arkansas wide receiver ranked 168th.

Many put him on the Packers' radar as a possible Day 3 option. Maybe the Lions misread that as a Round 3 target.

But TeSlaa will fit right in. He has already made his thoughts clear on the Packers, and they will have no trouble keeping him quiet in his NFL debut. The rookie best hope Jaire Alexander doesn't stay in Green Bay.

TeSlaa has won over Lions fans with his comments, but the Packers thank him for his gift. They will gladly take some extra Week 1 fuel.
