The Green Bay Packers can only hope their Saturday nightmare didn't foreshadow a Sunday disaster against the Arizona Cardinals.

Teams love routine, especially for road trips. The Packers already have to contend with travel and a shift in time zone, but things quickly went from bad to worse before they had even left Green Bay.

According to ESPN's Rob Demovsky, the team faced a five-hour delay at the airport before their plane eventually took off. It meant the players and coaches didn't arrive in Phoenix until the evening, far later than they anticipated. And that's not the only concern ahead of Sunday's game.

Packers' preparation for Week 7 faces some unexpected turbulence

Beyond just the delayed flight, the Packers also face uncertainty on the injury report.

The Packers elevated running back Pierre Strong Jr. to the gameday roster, adding doubt about Josh Jacobs' status for Week 7. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Jacobs is a "true game-time decision." He is such a crucial piece to the Packers' offense, and he hasn't missed a game since signing in free agency last year.

Keisean Nixon is also a doubt. The Packers added him to their injury report on Saturday due to an illness. He is also questionable.

The vibes aren't feeling too great for the Packers. They enter a tough road game with uncertainty over their RB1 and CB1, and that's before their travel plans were significantly impacted less than a day before kickoff.

But they must find a way to overcome it. The Packers are favorites, and the expectations will only rise if Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray doesn't play.

Championship teams find a way. Green Bay stumbled when adversity hit against the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys, resulting in a loss and a tie despite holding double-digit leads. This week's drama arrived a day early and challenged the Packers off the field.

They must prevent it from becoming an even bigger nightmare when the game kicks off.
