Last Sunday, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Minnesota Vikings without Jayden Reed, Matthew Golden, and, of course, Tucker Kraft. Now, they head to Detroit with yet another pass-catcher ruled out: Savion Williams.

Luckily, Josh Jacobs is ready to play, joining Emanuel Wilson in the backfield, but the thinning receiver room continues to raise eyebrows.

The Packers have ruled out Savion Williams for the Thanksgiving showdown against Detroit. He joins Reed, who is still not yet ready to return. He has not played since sustaining a broken clavicle in Week 2. Golden, after missing last week's game, is listed as questionable, meaning that Dontayvion Wicks will take his place as WR3 if Golden's injury is deemed too serious.

No Savion Williams or Jayden Reed for Packers, who must with with injury-hit WR corps

Despite Jordan Love's low-yardage outing, Wicks managed to have a couple of impressive moments on Sunday. An 18-yard reception saw him fighting forward to the 1-yard line, setting up an Emanuel Wilson touchdown. Later, he snagged a 14-yarder as Love threw out of a sack, moving the chains on 3rd-and-10.

Wicks's two catches might not make the most exciting box score, but he wasn't the only one suffering from minimal pass attempts. In fact, Christian Watson was the only Green Bay receiver with more than two receptions, bringing in five for a total of 49 yards. If receiving options remain limited, the Packers' offense might be forced to repeat Sunday's game plan.

Romeo Doubs rounds out Green Bay's receiver trio. Leading the team with 522 receiving yards, he has been one of the most consistent pass-catchers this season. And with Lions safety Kerby Joseph ruled out for Thursday's game, Doubs should continue being a reliable target.

Even if Golden isn't ruled out against the Lions, the Packers will have just one receiver who has recorded more than 300 yards on the season. Injuries have kept the offense from establishing a week-to-week rhythm within the receiving corps. They hope to change this in the final six games, with Watson bringing his unique downfield talent and Wicks continuing to flash, showing potential for an elevated role with one more year on his rookie contract.

The Packers will have to overcome injuries again on Thanksgiving.
