3 possible packages for Packers to go all-in on Myles Garrett

Are any of these too much?

This is a topic that's not going away anytime soon. In fact, it is not going away until either a trade happens or, somehow, Myles Garrett has a change of heart. And, quite frankly, the latter doesn't seem too likely.

The Green Bay Packers would surely love to add a player like Garrett after his public trade request prior to Super Bowl 59, but there are some complications to a potential deal. First, of course, is the unwillingness of Browns general manager Andrew Berry to deal his franchise player.

But, as NFL insider James Palmer recently stated, it does seem more likely that Garrett gets traded than it does for him to stay put.

Among other clear needs for the Packers (hello, wide receiver room and cornerback) it does make sense for the team to address the pass rush. It's not that Green Bay suffered in this area last year, because that would be far from the truth. They did finish with the sixth-most sacks in the league at 45.

But, adding a premier pass rusher could take this defense to another level. With that said, what could the Packers offer if they wanted to go all-in on a Garrett trade?

The Packers could put together a Myles Garrett trade involving picks and a player

The price for Garrett, should he be traded, hasn't yet been established, with some outlets stating it would take a combination of a first rounder and a couple of Day 2 picks and other outlets believing he is worth multiple firsts.

In this first offer, the Packers send a first and second to Cleveland in conjunction with wide receiver Romeo Doubs. The wide receiver room does, indeed, feature many names who could be featured as a no. 2 or no. 3 option. It seems like a foregone conclusion that Green Bay will try their hardest to add a true no. 1 option.

More Packers news:

Doubs could benefit from a fresh start after having been often-frustrated with his role. Cleveland is going to see Elijah Moore become a free agent, as well.

Trade 2: Packers give up multiple first rounders

In this second deal, Green Bay ups their offer to a pair of first-round picks. Maybe, Cleveland would ask them to throw in a Day 3 pick as well. But, this is a more realistic starting point.

Trade 3: Green Bay makes a final offer

Finally, the Packers get a little more aggressive and offer a total of three picks and a player.

The Browns could use an answer at running back for their future, while Josh Jacobs looks like a true workhorse in Green Bay. Giving up MarShawn Lloyd would mean trading someone the Packers haven't really gotten a good look at just yet.

But, in order to land the best defensive end in football, this could wind up being worth it. Look, the Packers need to compete in a tough division and, they have to add more talent assuming the rest of the division is also ascending.

It's a lot, but seeing Garrett in green and gold would make it all worthwhile.
