8. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado (NFL Draft)

The Colorado Buffaloes program has obviously taken on another level of intrigue this season as Deion Sanders has taken over as the head coach there in Boulder, and brought a bunch of really great players along with him.

One of those players is obviously his son, Shedeur, the quarterback of the team and formerly the starting quarterback at Jackson State with him as well. Although Shedeur doesn't lack reps as a starting QB, this season is his first exposure to the rigors of FBS competition, and there has been some obvious pushback.

That, and the Colorado program has struggled with play-calling offensively, resulting in the recent demotion of offensive coordinator Sean Lewis in favor of former NFL OC and head coach Pat Shurmur.

Yikes.

I can't help but wonder if we'll see Shedeur return to Boulder for one more season in 2024, but it will be hard for him (or any player) to pass up the chance to be a first-round pick when that's how the NFL views you. Some analysts out there, like Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN, have opined that Sanders would be the favorite to be QB1 of the 2025 class.

If he comes out in 2024, I think he's a very intriguing option for the Packers.
