5 pending free agents Packers should let walk in 2024
The Green Bay Packers got themselves an impressive win on the road in Week 12 against the Detroit Lions, a Thanksgiving surprise for most of the Packers fan base. As the season has gone along, we've seen this young Packers roster really go through a lot of ups and downs, and through it all, we've been able to discern a little better which players should stick around for 2024 and which players should be shown the door.
And there are a lot of pending free agents for the Packers in 2024 that might not get an offer to come back.
Which free agents should the Packers not even really try to bring back in 2024? Let's take a look and make a case for a number of notable names.
5 players the Green Bay Packers should send out the door
1. Yosh Nijman, OT
I think the Green Bay Packers have liked having Yosh Nijman as an emergency option at the offensive tackle position, but he hasn't proven to be substantially better than Rasheed Walker and the Packers probably need to do an overhaul at the left tackle position, regardless.
David Bakhtiari's health has been a major issue for the team the last couple of seasons, and although both Nijman and Walker have shown some decent things in relief of Bakhtiari, I just don't think the Packers need to bend over backwards to keep Nijman when they have Walker on the roster and can pursue a long-term option in the 2024 NFL Draft.
