Did Matt LaFleur take a subtle shot at Aaron Rodgers with latest Jordan Love comment?

Let's make some drama!

I'm about to read way too far into something, so if that's not your cup of tea, now's the time to bail.

Look, if you don't think mid-May OTAs can be bursting at the seams with juicy headlines and hot gossip, you'd be right. That's true. The next three weeks of NFL football feature a lot of standing around, some casual throws, and Dov Kleiman stealing content from beat writers. It's the sleepy start to the NFL's summer, and we should just leave it at that.

But we're not going to!

Because, reader, I have the tiniest morsel of Aaron Rodgers gossip to share. And I'm not even sure that it's gossip as much as it's just "one" "comment" from a Matt LaFleur that "doesn't mention him" "at all." But when LaFleur was recently asked about training camp attendance, his response – sorry, Matt – was vague enough to create content off of.

Did Matt LaFleur just take a subtle shot at Aaron Rodgers?

Interesting. Praising a QB who's in the middle of contract negotiations for still showing up to OTAs anyway sure seems pointed! And not pointed at Love, which the quote makes you think he's doing. If you just read the quote and went on with your day, you'd think it was a compliment. But it's obviously shade. This quote's obviously pointed at Aaron Rodgers, who was often times, as you may remember, not at OTAs. Matt LaFleaur is saying that Jordan Love is better than Aaron Rodgers, basically. He doesn't have to say it out loud – we all understand. Would all the people in the QTs like @PackersFan4Life90863, who are pointing out the Rodgers, shade be wrong? I doubt it.

Seem fishy to me. Seems like there's still a lot of bad blood between Packers and Rodgers. Seems like this story's only going to get bigger from here. We'll have to wait for Rodgers' response, which will surely come on a very reputable platform and will probably be very normal and not 15 minutes long.
