3 former Packers players we're glad are gone, 2 we wish never left

The Packers will have to live with the decisions they've made this offseason.

The Green Bay Packers have certainly had a flare for the dramatic the last handful of offseasons, haven't they?

The Packers let go of Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers in consecutive offseasons, and they've already said goodbye to even more players in 2024 with the decisions to cut both Aaron Jones and David Bakhtiari. With some of these players, you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing they are off the roster, but for others, you might end up wishing down the road that they were still on the team.

Which players do we wish the Packers would have kept around and which ones are of the "don't let the door hit you on the way out" variety?

We're glad he's gone: Josiah Deguara, TE/FB

At this point, Josiah Deguara had become nothing but a reminder of the fact that the Packers had a cursed run in the third round of the NFL Draft for a stretch of years there. The Packers drafted Deguara out of Cincinnati back in the class of 2020, likely in hopes that he could become Matt LaFleur's version of what Kyle Juszczyk does for the San Francisco 49ers.

That never materialized.

Not only did Deguara never become Juszczyk for the Green Bay Packers, but he really didn't ever develop any sort of role in Green Bay's offense. He didn't even play 200 snaps this past season. The Jacksonville Jaguars are obviously banking on Deguara helping out at least on special teams, signing him to a non-guaranteed one-year deal.
