The Green Bay Packers are firmly in the playoff mix this year, but a little 2024 NFL Draft talk never hurt anybody. It's always fun to keep an eye on the future and take a look at what young prospects could be future Packers, perhaps even looking at some players who could be missing pieces for this roster.

The Packers already have one of the youngest rosters in the NFL, but general manager Brian Gutekunst and head coach Matt LaFleur, along with the scouting staff and personnel department, have really found some great fits through the NFL Draft.

Player development in Green Bay has been largely outstanding, and it's a big reason why this team has found itself in the playoff race despite being the youngest roster in the league.

Who could the Packers look at in the 2024 NFL Draft? Let's take a look at the latest 2024 NFL mock draft scenario.

Round 1 (20): Cooper DeJean, DB, Iowa

Cooper DeJean feels like a Packers pick thanks to his tenacity, athleticism, and ability to contribute in a variety of ways immediately. DeJean is a ball-hawk in the secondary, but he's also got the ability to make a tremendous impact on special teams right away in the NFL.

The Packers have had a variety of issues at the cornerback position this season, including having to deal with injuries to both Eric Stokes and Jaire Alexander. The Packers' decision to trade Rasul Douglas may have put cornerback firmly on the radar for the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and DeJean is someone who could play right away in the nickel or dime package.

One year after taking Iowa defensive lineman Lukas Van Ness in the first round, could we see the Packers double down on first-round Hawkeyes and go to that program again?
