Round 3 (80): TJ Tampa, DB, Iowa State

We've seen the Packers double (and in some cases) triple-up on players at certain positions in the last handful of draft classes. This past year, they went with multiple early picks at tight end, but also took multiple receivers and defensive linemen. In 2022, we saw the triple-up on receivers. In 2021, it was interior offensive linemen.

Could we see the Packers double up early in this next NFL Draft on defensive backs? It would be a fun duo of picks for Green Bay. TJ Tampa, like Cooper DeJean, is a versatile player in the defensive backfield, but a ball-hawk nevertheless and someone who can be used in attacking the line of scrimmage. He's got 9.5 career tackles for loss and three interceptions.

He's got great length, ball skills, and toughness. I think he'd be a great fit in Green Bay.

Round 3 (85): Bucky Irving, RB, Oregon

From one version of green and yellow to another, Bucky Irving has been one of the most elusive backs in all of college football, and one of the fastest as well.

Irving has drawn some comparisons to Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco for his ability to run with physicality and toughness despite not being the biggest back. I think with his speed and pass-catching ability, the idea of pairing him up with Aaron Jones and/or AJ Dillon in Green Bay next season would be a lot of fun.
