The Green Bay Packers won't appear on "Hard Knocks" this summer, but the season should provide can't-miss television.

According to a report from NBC Sports, the New York Jets are "bracing" to be selected for this summer's edition of the show. The Jets are one of four teams that can be forced to appear on "Hard Knocks" this year.

The other three teams are the New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, and Washington Commanders.

Unless a team volunteers to appear on the show, one of these four will get chosen. And the Jets are an easy choice.

Aaron Rodgers makes 'Hard Knocks' must-see viewing for Packers fans

If the Jets are indeed selected for the newest season of "Hard Knocks," it will provide must-see viewing for Packers fans.

There's a reason why they have been nicknamed the "New York Packers" this offseason. Eight former Packers are on the Jets' payroll.

It will be fun to see the relationship between Aaron Rodgers and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.

Backup quarterback Tim Boyle, wide receivers Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, Malik Taylor, offensive lineman Billy Turner, and safety Adrian Amos are other familiar faces for Packers fans.

How will Rodgers build a connection with his new receivers, like NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson?

It's Rodgers' first year away from Green Bay. It's a new team and situation for him, so it will be interesting to get a behind-the-curtain look at how he adjusts.

Packers could appear on 'Hard Knocks' next year

If the Packers don't make the playoffs this season and retain Matt LaFleur as head coach, they will meet the criteria to appear on the 2024 edition of "Hard Knocks."

Teams can be chosen for the show if they haven't made the playoffs in the past two seasons, don't have a new head coach, and haven't appeared on "Hard Knocks" in the previous 10 years. The Packers will check every box if they fail to reach the postseason but stick with LaFleur.

Could we go from Aaron Rodgers' Jets to Jordan Love's Packers on "Hard Knocks" in consecutive years?
