The Green Bay Packers have significantly upgraded the middle of their defense on Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Texas A&M linebacker Edgerrin Cooper and Georgia safety Javon Bullard are arguably the best prospects at their respective positions and address two of the Packers' biggest positions of need.

Bullard adds the versatility the Packers wanted in the secondary. He played significant snaps at slot corner, deep safety, and in the box during his time at Georgia. The Packers are adding a serious talent to their defensive backfield, and it will be fascinating to see how Jeff Hafley uses him alongside Xavier McKinney.

Bullard joins three other former Georgia Bulldogs in the Packers' defense: Eric Stokes, Quay Walker, and Devonte Wyatt.

And he had the perfect reaction to finding out he was a Packer.

Javon Bullard was fired up after finding out the Packers had drafted him

The NFL Draft creates incredible moments and memories. Connor Hines of 13WMAZ News in Georgia captured the moment Bullard found out the Packers were drafting him, and it's one for the ages.

Bullard announced the news in style: "I'm a f----ing Packer!"

What a moment. It's a great landing spot for Bullard, who joins an ascending team with a new-look defense under Hafley.

Packers fans should be excited about what Bullard brings to the defense. Where will he play in the secondary? Slot corner? Deep safety? In the box? The answer is simple: Yes.

"I don't think — I know I can play all three positions in the secondary," said Bullard after getting drafted by the Packers, per The Athletic's Matt Schneidman.

Green Bay wanted to add a versatile defensive back who Hafley can move around. Bullard checks every box. Along with Edgerrin Cooper, the Packers have significantly upgraded their defense to kick off Day 2 of the NFL Draft.
