Just some classic money banter between two highly paid QBs.

In case you were doing literally anything fun on a July Friday afternoon and missed the news (and I know YOU didn't, but maybe someone you know did), the Packers made Jordan Love the highest-paid QB in the NFL last week. The move was widely expected, but nonetheless impactful and newsworthy.

Almost immediately after the news hit – if you can believe it – Aaron Rodgers felt the need to publicly comment about it. Fortunately it was just a pretty standard shout out, but still, with Rodgers you just never know. Even more fortunately, Rodgers' comments set off a fun little media back-and-forth that helped remind us that the vibes in Green Bay are through the roof right now.

"A-Rod, I won't be buying your house, man," Love said. "But I'll go check on it and make sure it's well taken care of. But if you want to hook me up with a deal, a home town discount ... "

Haha! They both own huge houses! Classic! Although admittedly there is something kind of funny about the idea of Rodgers still having trouble offloading his very expensive Green Bay home. (And maybe also something kinda funny about actions and consequences but that's getting a little too preachy for this blog.) Who knows what other whimsical ideas Rodgers – who's still taking his mentorship role very seriously, apparently – has for Love.

Whatever they end up being, you can certainly bet you'll hear about them here! Because if there's one thing that Packers fans still definitely care about, it's Aaron Rodgers' opinions. And luckily for all of us, he has so many! Just so, so many. But at least you can start this week closing the book on a weekend of witty banter between Love and Rodgers. Who knows what treasures this upcoming week has in store.
