The Green Bay Packers' rebuild lasted eight games. Even with the youngest roster in football, the Packers overcame a slow start to reach the divisional round and almost sent the top-seeded San Francisco 49ers home early.

Things didn't go too well on the other side of the Aaron Rodgers trade.

Rodgers suffered a torn Achilles only four plays into his New York Jets debut, and everything fell apart from that point. New York finished 7-10 but missed the playoffs, a season that highlighted several issues the team must address in 2024.

With Rodgers playing below 65 percent of the snaps this season, the Packers will receive a second-round pick from the Jets, which is No. 41 overall. Green Bay has two second-rounders in this year's draft.

But forget about any rebuild. The Packers are among the top contenders in the NFC in 2024.

Packers have better Super Bowl odds than Aaron Rodgers' Jets

The Jets traded for Rodgers to win a Super Bowl. Meanwhile, the Packers were supposed to enter a period of uncertainty as they rebuilt the roster. However, Green Bay has better Super Bowl odds than New York for next season.

According to BetSided, the Packers are tied with the Houston Texans for the 10th-best odds of winning Super Bowl LIX. At the time of writing, Green Bay's odds are +2500. The Jets are 14th at +3000. The "rebuilding" team with Love has better odds than the "all-in" team with Rodgers.

How about MVP? Rodgers has already won four, but the odds are in Love's favor next season.

Love is currently +1600 to win NFL MVP next year, the seventh-best odds. Rodgers is way behind at +2500, ranking 13th.

It's understandable. Love played at an MVP level in the second half of the season and then destroyed an excellent Dallas Cowboys defense in the playoffs. Love will put himself in the conversation if he can build on this year's accomplishments. There is less certainty for Rodgers, who is coming off a torn Achilles and entering his age-41 season. The Jets require significant upgrades around Rodgers, notably along the offensive line.

The Packers are big winners in the Rodgers trade. The deal takes Rodgers's massive contract off Green Bay's books this offseason. The Packers turned their first second-rounder into Luke Musgrave and gets another this year, and the switch from No. 15 to No. 13 helped them land Lukas Van Ness.

And it's the Packers, not the Jets, better positioned to win a championship in 2024.
