Madden 25 might have leaked new Packers uniforms for 2024 season
It's always a good idea for teams to get their new uniform revelations out before it's too late. Although uniform reveals being spoiled is not a new thing, the longer you wait, the more you're kind of asking for someone else to break your news.
And that may be happening to the Green Bay Packers in 2024.
Although the Packers have a classic uniform that doesn't typically get any changes or modifications, they appear poised to be taking advantage of the league allowing a secondary helmet this year and we know that thanks to the upcoming Madden 25 video game.
A screenshot captured from a "deep dive" into the new Madden 25 gameplay shows off an alternate white helmet for the Packers.
Did Madden 25 accidentally leak a new Packers helmet for 2024?
Although you don't want to call anything a 100 percent certainty based on one screenshot of a video game, it's also something that's been rumored for a while at this point. When you see something like this in the Madden video game, you can usually bet on it being accurate because the video game needs to have all updated uniform information from teams in order to actually put it in the game they are about to release.
While it's exciting to have the confirmation, it's also got to be frustrating to the Packers to have someone else breaking this news. But how mad can they be when they've delayed any announcement until the back half of the month of July? The team has already been out there for training camp practices and seemingly every other NFL team out there with major uniform updates for this season has already put that information out there.
The last time we've seen the Packers wear a helmet color other than their traditional gold helmets was back in 2011 when they wore brown helmets to go along with their 1929 themed throwbacks.
Although they haven't worn white helmets in a long time, adding them to the uniform wardrobe in 2024 wouldn't be the first time in franchise history. They wore white helmets in the late 50s, so this is almost a throwback, if anything.
