The Green Bay Packers have built a deep and talented receiving corps that stresses defenses in ways most teams don't.

Who is the Packers' best receiver? You could make a fair argument for Christian Watson, who has game-changing speed and athleticism. Or you could say Romeo Doubs, who consistently produces and led the team in targets last season. He caught eight touchdowns in the regular season and then put in an all-time playoff performance against the Dallas Cowboys.

Jayden Reed? All he did was lead the Packers in receiving in his first season. His 793 receiving yards rank third all-time for Packers rookies. He also tied the league lead with eight touchdown catches.

Then there is Dontayvion Wicks, who quietly could be the best of them all. As a fifth-round rookie, Wicks not only exceeded expectations but showed superstar potential that drew comparisons to Davante Adams from his head coach.

Opposing defenses don't have one receiver they can double up on. But that could change if Wicks reaches his potential, and he enters year two with high expectations.

Mina Kimes thinks Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks will be 'something special'

ESPN's Mina Kimes is impressed with the entire Packers receiving corps and expects big things this season. Speaking on ESPN's NFL Live, Kimes named Wicks the receiver she believes can become a star in this offense.

"Dontayvion Wicks -- if I had to pick one of these guys who I think is going to really take a big leap forward this year and maybe emerge as a No. 1 and surprise people with how good he is," said Kimes.

"That guy has incredible route-running ability at his size. He's got physicality, he's got hands, he can make difficult catches in traffic, and he can get yards after the catch. He is going to be something special."

Kimes isn't alone in predicting big things for the former fifth-round pick.

Jordan Love believes Wicks is going to have a "monster year" and said "the sky's the limit for him." People inside and outside of 1265 Lombardi Ave are excited about what's to come from the Packers' second-year wide receiver.

And for good reason. Wicks ran routes like a veteran last season—a Pro Bowler, even. Certainly not a fifth-round rookie who missed most of training camp due to injury.

Wicks' 581 receiving yards ranked 10th in franchise history for a rookie, but most exciting is how he performed down the stretch. In his final six games of the regular season, Wicks caught 22 passes for 341 yards and three touchdowns. He then made one of the plays of the year in the playoffs, beating former NFL Defensive Player of the Year Stephon Gilmore in coverage for a 20-yard touchdown.

Mina Kimes believes Wicks is "something special." Jordan Love predicts a "monster year." A breakout season is on the way for the second-year pro.
