We are now less than two weeks away from the start of the 2024 NFL Draft so it's time to take a look at which way each team is leaning with their first round pick.

One of the best ways to do so is by looking at the betting odds. For teams that pick late in the first round, like the Packers at No. 25, it's going to be difficult to predict which exact player they'll draft, but we can have a good idea of what position they'll be targeting with their first pick.

Let's find out which positions oddsmakers think the Packers will draft with their first pick.

What position will Packers select in NFL Draft?

The odds listed below are via FanDuel Sportsbook:

  • Offensive Line -125
  • Cornerback +185
  • Defensive Lineman/Edge +500
  • Safety +1100
  • Linebacker +1400
  • Wide Receiver +4000

The oddsmakers have Offensive Line as the favored position for the Packers to draft with their first pick. At -125 odds, there's an implied probability of 55.56% chance they go that direction.

This move makes a ton of sense with the Packers' releasing their longtime offensive tackle, David Bakhtiari, on March 11. They'll look to find that next Bakhtiari in the draft in hopes that he'll protect their young quarterback, Jordan Love, for years to come. Green Bay had a sack percentage of 7.44% in 2023, the 12th highest rate in the NFL so improving in that area will be critical to the Packers' success in 2024.

One option at No. 25 overall could be Kingsley Suamataia, the offensive tackle out of BYU. That's who Josh Edwards of CBS has as the projected pick for the Packers in that spot. It's tough to know which players will be available by the time the Packers pick, but other names that may be options for Green Bay at that position include Amarius Mims from Georgia, Graham Barton from Duke, Tyler Guyton from Oklahoma, and Jordan Morgan from Arizona.

If the Packers don't go offensive line, the next most likely positions are cornerback (+185) and defensive line/edge (+500). There is a large gap in the odds after those three positions and then safety (+1100), linebacker (+1400), and wide receiver (+4000) are listed as the next possibilities albeit unlikely.
