6. Jeremy Chinn, safety

There's not really a connection here, but I think Jeremy Chinn is going to be one of the most interesting young free agents to monitor in 2024.

Chinn was making a name for himself back in his rookie year of 2020, but the hype cooled off considerably. He finished second in the league in Rookie of the Year voting that season, and it might take an aggressive defensive coach like Jeff Hafley to bring the best out of him once again.

Chinn is a versatile chess piece for your defense who can play on the back end, he can come up in the box, and he can be effective getting after the quarterback. The Packers should take a risk on Chinn similar to the way they once did on De'Vondre Campbell.

7. Jordan Whitehead, safety

I love the idea of the Packers and Jeff Hafley poaching from Robert Saleh this offseason. Hafley worked for Saleh for a while as a member of the San Francisco 49ers' coaching staff, and he's going to bring a similar brand of defense to Green Bay.

A player like Jordan Whitehead could be a huge addition for a Packers secondary that could desperately use his range and playmaking ability. Whitehead had four interceptions this past season with Saleh and the Jets, and has eight of his 11 career interceptions over the last three seasons.
