Does anyone have a kicker they can trade to the Packers?

The Green Bay Packers have incredible wide receiver depth, to the point that they may not be able to keep them all on the roster.

Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, and Dontayvion Wicks are the roster locks and clear top four on the depth chart. Beyond that, you can make a strong argument for keeping Bo Melton, Grant DuBose, and Malik Heath. Even Samori Toure has the talent to make a roster.

How many will they keep on the roster? Finding room for seven receivers could become challenging. The receivers at the bottom of the depth chart would only feature on offense in the event of injuries, with most of their snaps coming on special teams.

Instead of having to cut a talented receiver, perhaps the Packers could explore the possibility of making a trade. One former NFL scout believes it could happen.

Jim Nagy believes teams should call Packers about trade for Bo Melton

Jim Nagy is the Executive Director of the Senior Bowl and spent 18 years as an NFL scout. He believes the Packers could make a deal for one of their wide receivers.

"Plenty of teams right now with glaring need for quality No. 3 or 4 WR should be on phone with Packers about Bo Melton," writes Nagy. "Gutey should be able to get picks for one of his Nos. 5-7 WRs."

Gutekunst has a track record of making deals before the roster cutdown deadline. Since 2018, he has traded Brett Hundley, Reggie Gilbert, Ka'dar Hollman, and Cole Van Lanen for Day 3 draft picks.

Melton, Heath, or DuBose could win the WR4 job for a lot of NFL teams. They all deserve to make the roster. Melton and Heath have proven it in the regular season, while DuBose has consistently performed at a high level throughout training camp.

The Packers could consider signing a quarterback or kicker off waivers following roster cuts. Perhaps we could see a player-for-player swap. Gutekunst has done this before. In 2018, he traded cornerback Lenzy Pipkins to the Indianapolis Colts for linebacker Antonio Morrison before roster cutdowns.

Unless Green Bay plans to make room for seven receivers, Gutekunst should pick up the phone and make a deal.
