2. Packers could make a blockbuster deal for CB Pat Surtain II

PS2 trade with Broncos

After cutting both quarterback Russell Wilson and star safety Justin Simmons, are the Denver Broncos having a bit of a fire sale this offseason?

They might just be.

The Broncos are desperate right now for two things: Cap space and NFL Draft real estate.

The Green Bay Packers could provide them with a little bit of both by making a blockbuster deal for Pat Surtain II, maybe the best cornerback in the league. And if you want to land the best cornerback in the league in a trade, you're going to have to pay the price of admission.

Just a couple of years ago, the Jacksonville Jaguars traded Jalen Ramsey to the Los Angeles Rams for the price of two first-round picks and a fourth-round pick. The Jags were motivated to trade Ramsey at the time and the writing was on the wall. The Broncos won't be motivated to trade Surtain -- they'll need an offer they can't refuse.

This kind of offer could get the job done.

This would give the Packers the best cornerback tandem in the league with Jaire Alexander and Pat Surtain II, and it would give the Broncos some desperately-needed NFL Draft capital in the wake of the Russell Wilson debacle.
