Packers drop a major hint at polarizing uniform change for 2024
New Green Bay Packers uniforms are on the way.
A promotional video for the Madden 25 video game seemingly leaked new white helmets, but nothing was confirmed. The Packers have now dropped a teaser.
The team's official X account (formerly Twitter) dropped two images showing an all-white uniform closely resembling their previous Color Rush combination of white jerseys and pants. They intentionally didn't reveal the helmets, which suggests the Madden leak is correct.
While you don't see the full helmet, there does appear to be a white face mask, adding further evidence for a change in color.
Here is the Packers' teaser for the new uniforms:
Packers' teased new uniforms split opinion among the fanbase
Some fans love it, others hate it. An all-white alternate uniform will divide the fanbase. Many prefer the Packers to stick to their traditional colors, while others welcome an occasional switch.
The idea of wearing all-white uniforms with white helmets in a snow-covered Lambeau Field does sound pretty incredible, to be honest, but it won't be everyone's cup of tea.
Admittedly, it will be strange watching the Packers take to the field without their famous gold helmets, especially as they will likely only wear these uniforms at home. But it's also fun to mix things up every once in a while. For example, their current all-green throwbacks, which provide a modern upgrade to the uniform they wore in the early 1950s, should be used more frequently.
From the images above, this new combination doesn't look too different from the previous all-white Color Rush uniforms. The major difference is the helmet. Assuming they do bring in white helmets, it will be the first time the Packers have gone away from their traditional gold color since 2010.
Love it or hate it, new alternate uniforms are on the way for the Packers.
