The Green Bay Packers had one of the most miraculous second-half turnarounds in recent NFL history last season, as they went from a young team trying to find their way to a viable postseason contender who went toe-to-toe with the eventual NFL champions.

Despite the fact Green Bay is in the same division as a revitalized Bears team and a Lions squad fresh off making it to the NFC Championship Game for the first time in decades, many expect Jordan Love and his menagerie of talented young pass-catchers to compete for an NFC North crown and make some noise in the playoffs.

Packers fans can count NFL Network analyst Peter Schrager among their more fervent supporters. Schrager, who has become notorious for his accuracy in predicting Super Bowl matchups, believes there's a chance Love and the Packers will get a shot at the Lombardi trophy.

Schrager has the Packers making it to the Super Bowl in just Love's second season as a starting quarterback. Unfortunately, the lovefest (pun intended) runs out once they get to the big game, as Schrager believes that Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will three-peat as champions.

The Packers don't have a dominant defense, but stars like Jaire Alexander and others make them a thoroughly respectable unit. As has been shown late in the season, this defense can step up when needed. The offense, however, is what makes this team special.

With one of the best collections of young receivers in the league and a new bellcow running back following the acquisition of Josh Jacobs, Matt LaFleur is well-equipped to go on the hunt. As is always the case, however, quarterback play will determine if the Packers are able to reach some very lofty ceilings.

Love was not good to start the season, struggling with accuracy and turning the ball over. While he threw 18 touchdowns against one interception in his final eight games, Love still needs to prove he is the $220 million quarterback who dominated at the end of the year.

Green Bay may be one tick away from that level of contention in the eyes of many, but Schrager seems to be all aboard what LaFleur and the rest of this team are building. If they get anywhere near the Lombardi trophy in an improved NFC, 2024 will be a massive success for this franchise.
